Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the Dragon Fit Club app and website collect, why, and what you can do about it. "We" means The Dragon Fit Club. Questions go to privacy@thedragonfitclub.com.
Who the app is for
Dragon Fit Club is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think someone under 18 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the name on that account. We use it to sign you in and contact you about your account. It's never shown to other members.
- Your onboarding answers: age, gender, height, weight, activity level, goal, what motivates you, push-up level, focus areas, training days per week and whether you train at a gym or at home. We use them to match you to a plan and size your workouts.
- Your training: the workouts you do, the reps, holds and times you log, how a workout felt, your weight entries, and your reminder time and settings.
- Your game progress: XP, level, streaks, gems, quests, achievements, your dragon's appearance, your handle, your league standing, friends, invites and challenges.
- Reports and blocks: when you report a member, we keep the report (who reported whom, the reason, an optional note and where it happened) so the club's admins can review it. The member you report isn't told who reported them. Members you block are kept in your account so the app can hide them.
- Your device: a push-notification token, the device platform, an install ID and your time zone, so reminders and streaks follow your local day.
- Usage and crashes: which screens and features you use, and crash reports, to fix bugs and improve the app.
We don't collect your location, contacts, photos or advertising ID. The app has no ads, and we never sell your data.
What other members can see
Your handle, your dragon, its level and stage, your streak, your league tier and your weekly league XP. Members in your league, your friends and anyone you challenge can see these. Your name, email, body measurements and workout history stay private.
Who processes it
The app runs on Google Firebase, which stores and processes data for us as our service provider:
- Firebase Authentication (sign-in)
- Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage (your data, in the United States)
- Cloud Functions (scoring workouts and running leagues)
- Cloud Messaging (reminders and streak alerts)
- Google Analytics for Firebase (usage)
- Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports)
- Firebase Hosting (this website and the web app)
The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address. Google handles data under its own terms and privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete it (see below), including reports you filed and reports about you. Google keeps usage data for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days.
Your choices and rights
- See or correct your data: most of it is in the app (Progress, You and Settings). For anything else, email us.
- Leave leagues: turn off Public leagues in Settings.
- Turn off notifications: in Settings, or in your phone's settings.
- Delete everything: You → Settings → Account → Delete account, or follow these steps.
Depending on where you live, you may have more rights, such as a copy of your data or objecting to how it's used. Email us and we'll reply within 30 days.
Health information
Your weight, body measurements and workouts are personal. We use them only to run your training in the app. Dragon Fit Club gives general fitness guidance, not medical advice.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and stored with Google's security controls. Access rules let only you read your private data, and only our servers can change your game progress.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If a change is significant, we'll say so in the app.
